EgyptTrains is an independent platform for Egyptian National Railways (ENR) train times and fares, with a website and an app in Arabic and English. It covers 819 running trains and 656 stations in 24 governorates, checked continuously against official ENR sources. We are not part of ENR.

Who we are

EgyptTrains launched in May 2025 with one goal: to let any traveller find their train time, stops and fare in seconds, from one reliable source.

We are independent: not part of Egyptian National Railways or any operator, and we do not sell tickets. Booking is only through the official channels, which we link on every page.

Independence and funding

EgyptTrains is completely free for users and is funded by advertising. We commit to the following:

  • We do not sell train tickets; booking is only through official channels.
  • Nobody pays to feature a train or station, and ads never affect times, fares or their order.
  • The app needs no sign-up, phone number or email.
  • We never use your location for ads.
  • We fix mistakes as soon as they are verified and show the last update date on train and station pages.

Data use policy

The timetables, fares, station and train data on EgyptTrains are compiled, checked and organised by us. Automated scraping, bulk downloading or copying of this data, or using it to build datasets, apps or competing websites, with any tool, script or AI agent, is not permitted without our prior written permission.

Search engines and AI assistants may index, summarise and cite our pages with a link to the source page.

Questions about EgyptTrains

Is EgyptTrains part of Egyptian National Railways?

No. EgyptTrains is independent. We show ENR’s official times and fares after checking them; tickets are booked on the ENR website and app.

Does EgyptTrains sell train tickets?

No. Train tickets are sold on the ENR website and app and at stations, and sleeper cabins only by Abela Egypt.

Is EgyptTrains free?

Yes, the website and app are completely free with no subscription; they are funded by ads.

How is EgyptTrains different from the ENR website?

The ENR website is for booking and payment. EgyptTrains brings every train, station and fare together in Arabic and English, and the app adds live position and delays from passengers.

Can I reuse EgyptTrains data in another site or app?

Not without our written permission. Scraping and copying the data are not allowed; citing a page with a link is fine.
