The railway extends the operation of trains 1938 and 1931 between Cairo and Aswan until June 14, 2026.

The decision comes with the aim of making a larger number of seats available to passengers during the current period, especially with the increase in travel rates to and from Upper Egypt governorates, with the continued operation of additional flights that were paid for during the Eid al-Adha season.

Cairo-Aswan train times 1938

Train 1938 departs from Cairo Station daily at 9:50 pm, arriving at Aswan Station at 10:15 am the next day.

Train times 1931 Aswan - Cairo

Train 1931 departs from Aswan Station at 7:55 p.m., and arrives at Cairo Station at 7:50 a.m. the next day.

Continuation of additional flights to serve Upper Egypt passengers

The authority confirmed that the continued operation of the two trains comes as part of its efforts to facilitate travel between Cairo and the governorates of Upper Egypt, and improve the level of service provided to the passenger public, while providing additional options for travelers on one of the densest lines within the Egyptian railway network.

The authority called on passengers to follow updates on train times and book in advance to avoid crowding and ensure access to available seats during the additional operation period.
